NEW JERSEY FRAGMENTS - PART FOUR

Part Four has coolsville 45 sides by The Galaxies IV, J.D. Rogues, The Sterlings, The Sidekicks, The Purple Avalanche and maybe best of all The Myddle Class. The latter were such a quality outfit who deserve some attention. Hopefully one day someone will release their singles on a 10" LP. Now that would be a fitting tribute.

I've checked my uploads to MediaFire and they have pointed out that 'I Happen To Love You' is copyrighted. I doubt whether The Sidekicks 'Not Now' or J.D. Rogues 'Why Did God Make Girls' will be downloadable as both are also showing a copyright.

  6. I've never heard of The Avlons. Did they record any music and release it on a 45?

  7. Patterns Of Emptiness - The Avlons
This interesting song was created by John Kardell and Frank Lees. John does lead guitar honors for this arrangement and Frank (leader of the Avlons) comes in on rhythm. Tom Hemsey runs the percussion department and is a fine young drummer. An exciting original sound is created on electric piano by Pete Posloszny, and Ron Tullo keeps a rolling beat on bass guitar. They were a young, fledgling New Jersey rock band from the mid to late 1960s,

  8. Thanks, I did some research and The Avlons were compiled on the sampler LP from the 60s called "It's Happening Here" which featured New Jersey and Camden groups 1965-69.

I didn't know about this album at the time I compiled my 'New Jersey Fragments'....if I did I would have searched out the album.
