THE LEGENDS - TOMORROW'S GONNA BE ANOTHER DAY

THE LEGENDS - 'Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day'/'Nobody Laughs Anymore' (Parlophone R 5581) March 1967

I don't know anything about UK group The Legends apart from what is mentioned in 'The Tapestry Of Delights' which suggests that they were based in London and had previously recorded for Pye Records as The First Impression.

'Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day' is the very same song recorded by The Monkees and many other American groups in the mid 60s including The Astronauts, Sir Raleigh & The Coupons, The Sons Of Adam and The Shadows Of Knight. I'm sure there will be others.

As far as I know The Legends were the only UK outfit to cover the song and they do a pretty good job of it adding more of a jangle to the melody as opposed to the familiar powerful garage approach of the USA groups. Strangely, non-comp.

The flip 'Nobody Laughs Anymore' is a slow beat tune.
