THE WHO & THE LORDS BACKSTAGE AT FRIEDERICH-EBERT HALLE IN LUDWIGSHAFEN, GERMANY 1967

On the 12th of April 1967, The Who played a notorious gig at the Friederich-Ebert Halle in Ludwigshafen, Germany that ended in a riot when the crowd started throwing chairs onto the stage in protest at heavy handed security guards...

The Who were in the middle of a short tour of Germany to promote their new single 'Pictures Of Lily'. Also on the bill were German beat group The Lords, and London modsters The Action and John's Children. These pictures were taken backstage by Chrissie Grambitter.
