THE BYRDS - It Won't Be Wrong

THE BYRDS - 'It Won't Be Wrong' (CBS EP 5668) 1965

Four song EP released in France in '65 just as The Byrds were starting to make an impression in Europe, despite lukewarm gigs in England. The songs on this EP are hardly essential but the cover makes up for this.

It's a rare moment indeed to have David Crosby pictured without that horrible green cape, McGuinn is holding a rifle for some reason and Gene Clark is grinning like a chesire cat. Or should I say gurning. Maybe he's just been told he'll not need to board a plane for the next fortnight or something?

McGuinn's original 'It Won't Be Wrong' is the pick of the bunch.
